Mike, accompanied by a huge bass, is featured on the February 2010 issue of Bassmaster magazine. The article, "Smart Ways to Fish 'No-Brainer' Baits", covers advanced techniques for using what many would consider "beginner baits", including: jitterbugs, in-line spinners, Cubby Mini-Mites and original Rapalas.

Mike reports, of his "panic box", which contains some of these "beginner lures", "These are almost emergency baits to catch a keeper -- or maybe three keepers. Or maybe I know the fish are here but can't figure how to get them to bite. Later, looking back at my season, I may see that they helped me make the Classic or make the final cut a couple of times."
